Lamia’s castle (Akrolamia) lies 40 kms north of Kamena Vourla.

It is built on a rocky hill above the city, on the highest level with a panoramic view over the rich valley of Sperchios river, the summits of Kallidromos, mythical Iti, Parnassus, Giona and the Maliakos Gulf.
Its well-preserved city walls bring the mark of history from the 5th century B.C. to the 2nd world war.

Inside the castle the interesting Archaeological museum is surely worth visiting.
